Application
All families who wish to participate in either district and partner-run extended learning programs in the 2024-2025 school year must submit a common interest application form using the links below.
SCUSD offers high-quality extended learning programs at each school site. SCUSD believes in providing opportunities for students beyond the regular school day. Our program leaders provide experiences that support students' social-emotional, academic, and physical development. SCUSD offers both fee-based/sliding scale and no-cost programs based on student/family qualifications.

State-Funded Programs
SCUSD receives state funding from two sources in order to make our extended learning programs accessible to all eligible, TK-6 students:

After School Education and Safety Program (ASES), California Proposition 49

Expanded Learning Opportunity Programs (ELO-P), California Assembly Bill (AB) 130
This funding allows eligible students to attend at little or no cost.
Eligibility Criteria for No-Cost or sliding fee scale programs
- Foster or Homeless Status
- Free or Reduced Lunch Status
- To apply for free and reduced meals, apply online at schoolcafe.com
- English Language Learner (student might qualify for sliding scale fees, dependent on income)
Note: Eligibility for Free/reduced cost is determined by the application for free/reduced lunch.
Fee-based/Sliding Fee Scale Programs
SCUSD provides Expanded Learning Program for fee-based/sliding scale students based on our enrollment capacity. More information to come.
